Subnet 2 is a marketplace for inference verification, enhancing the Bittensor ecosystem (and that of the individual subnets within it) with cryptographically verified AI outputs. Rather than relying on trust in any individual miner or validator, one has certainty in their computations and require no other details
Subnet 2 will remain proving system agnostic.
As of today, Subnet 2 supports EZKL and Circom with Groth16. Previous frameworks include the rust based zkVM from a16crypto named JOLT. The landscape of proving systems is changing rapidly, if you are working on the latest and greatest, please do not hesitate to reach out! We wish to contribute!
Validators act as a gateway to miners, handling and directing requests to miners from the outside world. Validators keep miners honest, scoring them by their overall efficiency and ability to increase the performance of any proving system. Validators also keep eachother honest with Yuma consensus. Any entity requiring cryptographic proof for their computations can leverage Subnet 2 as a proving and acceleration cluster, optimizing their circuits and low level code, rapidly producing cryptographically proven outputs. This allows for trustlessly initiating an inference on one blockchain and verifying the resulting message on another without relying on external validation models. Subnet 2's Proofs of Inference are already utilized by Inference Labs partners, including the Benqi protocol and TestMachine, ensuring secure and efficient verification across multiple platforms.
